It requires no labour/ no manual intervention and no maintenance. In terms of convenience, it is undoubtedly the best that is available – Just open the lid and put in the wet waste. Open the compost door and the compost falls out automatically. No other intermediate process. Volume reduction is 80 – 90%. Hence 100 kg of wet waste is converted into 10 – 15kg of compost, reducing your space requirements for compost storage also. Since the digestion is aerobic, there is no methane/ ammonia formed from the nitrogen content of the food and hence odourless. It is almost completely noiseless, since there is no shredding/ cutting.
